Among the potential changes under consideration by the SHA is the repurposing of parking on one side of Franklin Street and Washington Street within the downtown area. This modification would aim to create dedicated bicycle lanes. However, the City Council has previously voiced concerns regarding the potential negative effects such a change could have on both local businesses and residents who rely on this parking.
