Funkstown will host its annual Day in the Park celebration on July 19 and 20, featuring a range of community activities, live entertainment, and historical re-enactments. The two-day event is expected to draw visitors to enjoy family-friendly attractions and local food offerings.

The festivities begin Saturday, July 19, with a historical re-enactment, children’s activities including a bounce house, and live music at a time still to be announced. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk.

Sunday’s events include the continuation of the re-enactment and a community breakfast served by the Funkstown Fire Company, which will also offer food throughout Saturday.
