The town is seeking residents interested in serving on its local boards. Currently, there is an opening on the Board of Zoning Appeals, along with three positions on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, and no prior training is required for these volunteer roles. Individuals interested in supporting Funkstown’s governance are encouraged to contact Brenda at the town hall for further information.
Additionally, the town reminded residents about park regulations. Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the walking and running trails within the park’s wooded areas. Those violating this rule face potential bans and legal repercussions. Town officials urge visitors to respect park guidelines to maintain a safe environment for all.
