Minor Injuries Reported in Washington County Structure Fire on Hebb Road

HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire that occurred on July 7, 2026, at approximately 9:25 p.m. at 107 Hebb Road in Hagerstown, Washington County. The incident involved a two-story single-family dwelling and resulted in minor injuries to three people.

Responding to the scene, firefighters from the Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company, alongside 30 other firefighters, were able to bring the blaze under control in just three minutes. The fire was discovered by an occupant of the home, and preliminary findings indicate the area of origin was the hallway. While smoke alarms were present and activated, there were no fire alarms or sprinkler systems in place at the property. Fortunately, no residents were displaced by the incident.

The estimated monetary loss from the fire is 5,000 for the structure and 250 for the contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
