Suspects in murder of 15 year old were in country illegally, ties to MS13 gang
FREDERICK, MD News (6/1/2023) – Following the arrest of five suspects in the murder of a 15 year old boy in Frederick, Designated Immigration Officers (DIO) within the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office 287(g) Program placed an Immigration Detainer-Notice of Action, form I-247A, on all five noncitizens illegally present in the United States. ICE lodges detainers on individuals arrested on criminal charges who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable noncitizens.
FPD Charges 5 Suspects in Death of Missing 15-Year-Old
FREDERICK, MD News (5/31/2023) – On February 25, 2023, family members of 15-year-old Limber Lopez Funez contacted the Frederick Police Department to report him as missing. The teenager was entered as a missing person and detectives with the Major Crimes Unit were assigned to locate Lopez Funez that same day.
Hagerstown Man Arrested for Attempting to Sell Venomous Snake in Violation of Maryland Law
HAGERSTOWN, MD News (5/30/2023) In a recent incident, the Natural Resources Police in Washington County arrested a Hagerstown man for attempting to sell a venomous snake in direct violation of Maryland state law. The individual, identified as 36-year-old Joshua Lee Roberts, now faces legal consequences and a maximum fine of $1,000.

Residents on High Alert as 8-Foot Python Slithers Free in Federalsburg, MD
Federalsburg, MD News (5/26/2023) – Panic has struck the peaceful town of Federalsburg as local authorities report that an enormous 8-foot python is currently on the loose. Police have urged residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as they continue their efforts to capture the elusive reptile. The snake, believed to be either a pet that escaped or a deliberate release into the wild, was last seen in the vicinity of Vesper Avenue.
Police Investigating Homicide at Jonathan Hager House
HAGERSTOWN, MD News (5/26/2023) – On 5/26/23 at about 5:50am, Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the Hagerstown City Park at the Jonathan Hager House for a report of a deceased person. A 37 year old female from Hagerstown was located inside a stone alcove beneath the porch of the house. She was pronounced deceased at the scene and the incident is being investigated as an apparent homicide.

The investigation unveiled a sophisticated criminal network that employed drones, a correctional officer, and a hospital, allowing the distribution of dangerous drugs, including fentanyl, and a wide array of contraband such as cell phones, tools, and other illicit items.
Repeat Offender Arrested for Maryland Ave Shots Fired Incident
Hagerstown, MD News (5/25/2023) – On Wednesday 5/24/23 at approximately 3:50pm, Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the area of W. First St and Maryland Ave for a report of multiple shots fired. Officers recovered numerous shell casings in the area and learned that 2 structures in the 900 block of Maryland Ave were hit along with 5 different vehicles. There were no reported injuries.
