Following the investigation, a search and seizure warrant was executed on September 5th, 2025, at 132 South Locust Street, Apartment 2, and 368 South Cannon Avenue, Apartment 1. The operation was supported by the Washington County Special Response Team and drone units from the Hagerstown Police Department. During the searches, law enforcement officials recovered approximately four pounds of cocaine and two pounds and ten and a half ounces of fentanyl. Additionally, they discovered three loaded firearms: a 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun, a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun with its serial number obliterated, and a 32 caliber revolver. The seizures also included drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and over $13,000 in United States currency.
As a result of the operation, two individuals were arrested. Timothy Grimes, a 57-year-old resident of Hagerstown, Maryland, faces numerous charges. These include possession with intent to distribute both cocaine and fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl/heroin, possession of large amounts of fentanyl and cocaine, possession of non-cannabis controlled substances (cocaine and fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple firearm-related offenses. Grimes is also charged with firearm possession by a convicted felon, firearm and drug trafficking crimes, illegal possession of ammunition, knowingly altering a firearm’s identification number, possession of a firearm without a serial number, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm and a rifle/shotgun due to disqualification.
