Maryland residents have multiple options for voting in the upcoming Presidential General Election, scheduled for November 5, 2024. Voters can either cast their ballots in person or request a mail-in ballot.

Voting by Mail
To vote by mail, a voter must request a mail-in ballot from the State Board of Elections or their local board. The deadlines for requesting mail-in ballots are as follows:
- Mail or Fax Ballot Requests: Must be received by Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
- Internet Ballot Requests: Must be received by 5 p.m. for mail requests and by 11:59 p.m. for fax or online requests on Friday, November 1, 2024.
If the mail-in ballots are ready, voters who hand deliver their requests may pick up their ballots and either mail them back or submit them at their local board office.
- In-Person Ballot Requests: The deadline is 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or placed in a designated ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on November 5, 2024.

Voting in Person
For those who prefer to vote in person, early voting will be available from Thursday, October 24, 2024, through Thursday, October 31, 2024, including Saturday and Sunday. Early voting centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Voters can cast their ballot at any early voting center in their county of residence.
Early Voting can be performed at any of the following locations:
- Washington County Election Center, 17718 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740
- Washington County Free Library, 66 W. Water Street, Smithsburg, MD 21783
- Boonsboro American Legion, 710 N Main Street, Boonsboro, MD 21713
On Election Day, November 5, 2024, polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Voters must go to their assigned polling place to vote.

- Donald J. Trump and JD Vance (Republican)
- Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat (Libertarian)
- Jill Ellen Stein and Rudolph Ware (Green)
- Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Nicole Shanahan (Unaffiliated)
- Option to write in a candidate
- U.S. Senator
Voters can select one candidate for U.S. Senate:- Angela Alsobrooks (Democratic)
- Larry Hogan (Republican)
- Mike Scott (Libertarian)
- Option to write in a candidate
- Representative in Congress, District 6
Candidates:- April McClain Delaney (Democratic)

Voters can select up to five council members from a field of candidates, including:- Kristin B. Aleshire, Caroline Anderson, Erika T. Bell, Mark Bell, Tiara R. Burnett, Sean Flaherty, Stacy L. Michael, Rich Owens, Peter E. Perini, Sr., and Matthew J. Schindler.
