FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a Walkersville man in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday evening at Loy’s Station Park. The Sheriff’s Office reported that on July 15, 2026, deputies responded to the park, located at 13506 Old Frederick Road in Rocky Ridge, after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered an adult male sustaining serious injuries that appeared to be consistent with an assault. The injured individual was subsequently transported to Meritus Medical Center for medical treatment. The preliminary investigation into the event suggests that the victim and the alleged assailant were both driving separate vehicles and pulled into a parking area near the park. It was after they exited their vehicles that an altercation ensued between the two individuals. During the course of this confrontation, the suspect is accused of using a machete to inflict injuries to the victim’s head and arm.
