FREDERICK, Md. – A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on Bank Court in Frederick earlier this month. According to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on August 20, 2026, around 3:11 p.m.
Deputies responded to a call reporting a stabbing in the 7200 block of Bank Court. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his arm, chest, and abdomen. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
The initial investigation indicated that the victim and the suspect were known to each other, having worked together. A verbal dispute between the two individuals reportedly escalated into a physical altercation in the parking lot. During this confrontation, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Detectives identified the suspect as Darwin Orlando Martinez-Serrano, a 17-year-old resident of Hyattsville, Maryland. He was apprehended later that evening in Hyattsville. Martinez-Serrano was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He has been charged as an adult with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
