HAGERSTOWN, MD — A fugitive wanted in connection to a homicide that occurred in Hagerstown on May 25, 2026, has been taken into custody, according to an update from the Hagerstown Police Department. Nadeem Ameen Davis, a 20-year-old from Baltimore, was apprehended on July 16, 2026, without incident by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Task Force and the Hagerstown Police Warrant Task Force.

The arrest took place in the 3000 block of E. Madison Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Davis was sought in connection with the homicide investigation stemming from an incident on Security Road. The victim in that case was identified as Mitchell Omar Reddick. Following his apprehension, Davis was transported to the Hagerstown Police Department for an interview with detectives. He was subsequently transferred to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on charges of Murder in the First Degree.

The initial incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on May 25, 2026, when officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 1000 block of Security Road. The adult male victim was taken to Meritus Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. The investigation into this homicide remains active, and further details, including the victim’s identity, were not provided at the time of the initial report.
