Authorities announced the arrest of Manuel Ernest Gordon Jr., 33, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Yonkers, New York. Gordon, who was wanted in connection with the murder of Rusty Mark Edwards, was apprehended by the United States Marshals Service. The homicide occurred on July 18, 2024, near 208 East Washington Street in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The Hagerstown Police Department credited the coordinated efforts of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force from the Northern District of West Virginia, and the Yonkers Police Department for Gordon’s capture. The collaborative operation led to his arrest at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Gordon remains in custody as authorities finalize the extradition process to Maryland, where he will face charges related to the homicide.
