Washington County Government offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth. While many administrative functions will be suspended for the holiday, several county services will continue to operate, some on a modified schedule. Residents are advised to note the specific hours and operational status of various facilities and services.

The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices will be closed on June 19. However, the airport terminal will remain accessible to travelers from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Air services provided by Allegiant will continue as scheduled. Flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) are set for a 3:59 p.m. departure and a 7:47 p.m. arrival. Additionally, flights to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) will depart at 8:37 p.m. and arrive at 3:09 p.m.
Washington County Environmental Management offices will also be closed on Friday, June 19. This closure affects all services at the Forty West Landfill and all other transfer stations. These facilities are scheduled to resume normal operations on Saturday, June 20, 2026. In contrast, Washington County Transit Services will operate on their regular schedule throughout the day on June 19. Black Rock Golf Course will also operate as normal on the holiday. The Washington County Treasurer’s Office will be closed on June 19. Essential public safety services will continue uninterrupted during the holiday period.
