The recalled chargers are black and feature a touchscreen. While some units display the “HTRC” brand name on the front, others may have no visible brand name but will still show the model number T400. The “Haisito” brand name might not be present on the product itself but could appear on the original purchase receipt. These chargers were sold online through platforms such as AliExpress.us, Amazon.com, Banggood.com, eBay.com, and Pyrodrone.com for around $130.

The hazard stems from the potential for the chargers to ignite, or cause a connected battery to ignite. This poses a serious risk of fire, leading to potential injury and even death. In addition to the 33 reports of fires and explosions, the company has received reports of three individuals suffering burn and smoke inhalation injuries. Furthermore, 12 incidents have resulted in property damage totaling approximately $224,000.

Consumers who own either the HTRC or Haisito T400 battery chargers are urged to immediately stop using the devices. To initiate the recall process, consumers should contact Huizhou Haitan Technology directly. The company will provide instructions for returning the chargers for a full refund. Consumers will be sent a pre-labeled, prepaid package to return the chargers for disposal. For further assistance or information, consumers can reach Huizhou Haitan Technology by phone at 327 208-2365, available Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern Time. Alternatively, inquiries can be sent via email to hasaki57620@outlook.com. More details about the recall can also be found on the company’s website at http://www.ht-rc.com/recalls.asp or by navigating to the “Recalls” section at the top of http://www.ht-rc.com.
