The Maryland Theatre is set to present a unique and visually striking production of “Alice in Wonderland,” featuring international ballet stars in a world premiere performance. The production distinguishes itself through its bold artistic vision and a collaborative effort with renowned artist Romero Britto, who contributed to the design of the sets and costumes. This integration of pop art aesthetics with ballet aims to push the boundaries of the traditional art form. The performance is described as a fusion of world-class dancing, Broadway-style theatrical design, immersive multimedia effects, and vibrant pop art energy. Organizers anticipate this combination will create a novel live entertainment experience.
Presale tickets for “Alice in Wonderland” will become available starting Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Those wishing to purchase tickets during this early access period can use the code “EARLY” to receive a 10% discount on select seats. This presale offer will conclude on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Following the presale, tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
The Maryland Theatre Box Office, located within the Theatre’s lobby at 21 S. Potomac Street in Hagerstown, MD, will be selling tickets in person during its operating hours. The Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, the Box Office will be open one hour prior to scheduled events. For those who prefer to purchase tickets by phone, the Box Office can be reached at 301-790-2000. Ticketing services are also managed by Ticketmaster, allowing for 24/7 purchases online via mdtheatre.org, which will redirect patrons to ticketmaster.com.
The Maryland Theatre’s upcoming schedule also includes other notable performances. The United European Ballet Company will present “Swan Lake” on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Later in the season, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
