Eligible businesses and organizations located within the designated Main Street District can apply for reimbursement of up to $100 to cover the costs of purchasing and installing harvest-themed decorations. These decorations are intended to evoke a sense of warmth and seasonal color, with suggestions including pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, straw bales, fall foliage, and other harvest-related displays. The program emphasizes a focus on the broader harvest and fall season, rather than solely on Halloween themes. A key requirement for all decorations is that they must be visible from the street to contribute to the overall downtown ambiance.
Participants are encouraged to have their fall decorations displayed by the weekend of October 3rd, with a firm deadline of Monday, October 5th, to ensure the downtown area is fully prepared to welcome attendees of the Main Street Maryland Conference. Whether through a vibrant window display, decorative elements at an entrance, or more elaborate harvest-themed installations, every contribution is expected to play a role in cultivating a festive and inviting atmosphere throughout downtown Hagerstown.
