The recall specifically affects Lezyne bicycle floor pumps featuring a bleed valve located on the front of the base. The affected models, identified as the Pressure Over Drive (with an analog gauge) and the Digital Pressure Over Drive (with a digital gauge), are described as black tubeless floor pumps constructed from steel and aluminum, with a natural wood-colored handle and a nylon-reinforced braided hose. The Lezyne logo is printed on the side of the pump. These pumps were sold nationwide at various bicycle stores, as well as online through retailers such as Jensonusa.com and Backcountry.com, between May 2016 and December 2021. The retail price ranged from $150 to $180.
Lezyne has received one report detailing an incident where a pump canister ejected from its base, resulting in serious facial injuries. Consumers who own one of the affected pumps are urged to stop using it immediately. To receive a free replacement pump, including shipping, consumers should contact Lezyne toll-free at 888-998-8881, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Alternatively, consumers can email recall@lezyne.com or visit ride.lezyne.com/recall for more information and to register their recalled product. Instructions for the proper disposal of the recalled pump will be provided upon registration. Proof of purchase is not required for this recall. In addition to the units sold in the United States, approximately 680 units were also sold in Canada.
