Officers arrived just before 11:30 PM and observed two men fleeing into a nearby residence. They took 33-year-old James Williams Jr. of Hagerstown and 19-year-old Gerron Simpson of Baltimore into custody without incident and secured a search warrant. Inside, agents found suspected narcotics in plain view, prompting an extended investigation that culminated in Monday morning’s operation.

Surveillance footage identified a third suspect leaving the scene in a vehicle parked on Jefferson Street before entering a home on North Locust Street. A warrant served by the Washington County Special Response Team at 7:30 AM on June 30 resulted in a third arrest and the seizure of additional firearms and drugs.
