Bramble, who joined the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) in 1984, retired in 2007 after more than 22 years on the job. His efforts in the field earned him the Governor’s Citation Medal of Valor and multiple commendations. Among his most notable actions was the neutralization of 87 explosive devices within a 36-hour span, a testament to his dedication and courage in high-risk scenarios. He passed away on March 1, 2025, at age 69 and was laid to rest with full honors that same month.

During the June ceremony, Acting State Fire Marshal Jason M. Mowbray presented Bramble’s retirement badge—an honor he never received during his lifetime—to his widow and granddaughter. The gesture fulfilled a long-standing wish and served as a final recognition of his contributions. Colleagues, family, and fellow public safety officials were present to commemorate Bramble’s legacy and reaffirm the agency’s ongoing support for its retirees and their families.
