Maryland State Police responded to a call around 1:00 a.m. from the 20300 block of Lower Georges Creek Road. Reports indicated that Romack had unlawfully entered the residence of his estranged girlfriend. Upon his arrest, officers found what appeared to be improvised explosive devices on the premises. The State Fire Marshal Bomb Squad was called in to assess the potential threat.

Bomb technicians determined that a render-safe procedure was required, neutralizing the devices at the scene. A thorough search of the residence and Romack’s vehicle was conducted, yielding no additional explosives.

Romack faces multiple charges, including the manufacture and possession of a destructive device, fourth-degree burglary, trespassing, reckless endangerment, and possession of an explosive device with intent. He remains in custody without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
