At 11:28 AM today, a curious squirrel entering a local substation knocked out power for customers in the south end of Hagerstown. The Hagerstown Light Department immediately dispatched crews to investigate and implement a repair plan, reassuring residents that service would return shortly.
By 11:36 AM, full power had been restored to all affected homes and businesses—just eight minutes after the outage began. No injuries or significant equipment damage were reported.
