Mammut Sports Group has recalled its Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Sets, including two variants and a bundled package, after discovering that the carabiner can open without the safety latch, creating a serious fall hazard that could result in severe injury or death.

The recall, announced on June 12, 2025, affects approximately 580 units sold in the United States and an additional 42 sold in Canada. The affected models—Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata (2040-02840), Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata (2040-02850), and Skywalker Pro Via Ferrata Package (2040-02870)—can be identified by their orange and gray carabiners attached to a blue cord and by the style number printed on a tag inside the pouch. Though no injuries or incidents have been reported, Mammut is taking proactive steps to remove the gear from circulation.
