The recall, announced on June 12, 2025, affects approximately 580 units sold in the United States and an additional 42 sold in Canada. The recalled gear was sold at outdoor retailers including Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming, Campsaver in Utah, and others nationwide between February 2023 and March 2025. The products retailed for between $150 and $280. All were manufactured in Switzerland and imported by Mammut Sports Group Inc. based in Williston, Vermont. The company is offering full refunds and will provide prepaid return labels to affected customers who contact them by phone, email, or through their official website.
Climbers in possession of these sets should immediately cease use and follow the company’s return procedures to avoid potential danger.
