Washington County Residents Invited to Shape Local Digital Content Through New Survey

Residents of Washington County are being asked to share their preferences for digital media content through an anonymous survey launched by the Washington County Arts Council (WCAC). The initiative aims to foster the creation of local digital content that directly reflects the community’s culture, interests, and voices, with input from local creators and influencers.

The survey, titled the Content Creators & Influencers Interest Poll, seeks to understand what types of digital media residents would like to see produced. Key areas of inquiry include preferred content formats, such as live streams, longer videos, or short-form reels. It also probes viewing habits, asking about the days and times residents are most likely to engage with digital content. Additionally, the poll seeks to gauge interest in specific content categories, including local esports and gaming streams, instructional workshops covering topics like cooking or painting, “on the street” style interviews, and features highlighting local establishments and events such as breweries, museums, and annual festivals.

By participating in this brief, anonymous survey, community members will provide essential feedback that will guide local content creators in developing engaging and relevant material. The WCAC emphasizes that local media’s success is contingent on its ability to mirror the community it serves. Therefore, resident input is crucial in ensuring that the digital content produced is of high quality and truly resonates with the audience, whether they are dedicated supporters of Washington County arts or simply seeking more engaging entertainment options. The survey is available online and will remain open through August 16, 2026.
