Setsmart LLC has issued a recall for approximately 22,500 LoGest Climbing Ropes due to a potential fall hazard. The recall, announced on February 13, 2025, affects ropes sold with carabiners and heavy-duty metal hooks. The ropes may weaken and break, increasing the risk of injury for consumers. In addition to the U.S. recall, about 350 units were sold in Canada and 25 in Mexico.

The affected climbing ropes are made of hemp and were available in various lengths, including 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 50 feet. The LoGest Climbing Rope with Carabiner features a silver “D” ring and a silver carabiner, while the version with the heavy-duty metal hook has a blue stripe running through the brown rope and a black metal hook secured with silver bolts. Both models have “LoGest” printed on black plastic at the rope ends. The ropes were sold online through Amazon from March 2021 to November 2024, with prices ranging from $20 to $70.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the ropes, uninstall them, and register for a full refund at www.LoGestRopeRecall.com. Refunds will be issued via Amazon to the original payment method. Amazon is directly notifying customers who purchased the product. To complete the refund process, consumers must follow disposal instructions provided on the recall website and email proof of disposal to LoGestRecall@gmail.com.
