Frederick Invites Residents to National Night Out for Community and Safety Celebration

The Frederick Police Department is extending an invitation to all residents to participate in National Night Out 2026, a community-wide event aimed at fostering stronger police-community partnerships and promoting neighborhood unity. The free, family-friendly gathering is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This year’s event will be held concurrently at three distinct locations across the city: Hill Street Park, Mullinix Park, and Carrollton Park.

National Night Out is an annual initiative designed to enhance the sense of community and encourage collaboration between law enforcement and residents. By bringing people together in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, the event seeks to strengthen the bonds that contribute to a safer Frederick. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with neighbors, engage with officers from the Frederick Police Department, and interact with City staff and various community partners. The evening’s program is designed to be inclusive for all ages, offering a chance to build relationships, address questions, and celebrate the collective efforts that ensure the city remains a secure place to live, work, and visit.

The festivities at National Night Out will include complimentary BBQ, music, games, and giveaways, providing entertainment for everyone.
