Specialized Bicycle Components has issued a recall for approximately 11,100 Globe-branded Haul ST and LT electric bicycles due to a potential fall hazard linked to their telescopic seat posts. The recall, announced on June 5, 2025, stems from reports that the seat post can break when fully extended, posing a risk of injury to riders. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected bicycles and arrange for a free repair through an authorized retailer.

The recall targets 13-inch telescopic seat posts fitted as original equipment on the Haul ST and Haul LT models, easily identifiable by the names printed on the bicycles’ downtubes. Specialized has reported 13 incidents involving the defect, resulting in two minor injuries consisting of scrapes and bruises. To address the issue, the company is offering a replacement seat post made from a different material, free of charge to customers.
