ZRWD has recalled approximately 3,540 infant swings sold exclusively through Amazon.com due to multiple federal safety violations, including a serious risk of suffocation. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated that the swings, marketed for infant sleep, have an incline angle exceeding 10 degrees, violating the Infant Sleep Products Standard and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. The swings also fail to comply with mandatory warning requirements, and their remote controls contain lithium coin batteries without the necessary safety instructions, presenting additional hazards.

The recall affects ZRWD infant swings with model number S0008A, available in two color schemes: gray and white fabric with a black base, and blue and white fabric with a white base. Each swing was sold with two plush toys, a moon and a star, an activity tray, and a remote control powered by a CR 2025 3v button cell battery. Consumers purchased the swings online from December 2023 to December 2024 at an average price of $110.

Despite no injuries being reported, officials urge consumers to stop using the swings immediately. To obtain a refund, buyers must email ZRWD with photos showing the swing cover cut in half and the word “Recalled” written prominently on the base. After submitting the required images, consumers are advised to dispose of the swings following local hazardous waste procedures, especially for the lithium batteries.

ZRWD and Amazon have begun contacting known purchasers directly to facilitate the refund process. The company behind the swings, Fuzhouwanhonggongyipinyouxiangongsi, operates under the brand name ZRWD and is based in China. The recall emphasizes the dangers associated with inclined sleep products and improperly secured button cell batteries, both of which can lead to serious injuries or fatalities if safety standards are not met.
