Seman, a white female standing approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, was last seen wearing striped prison-issued clothing marked with “FCJ” on the back. Law enforcement officials issued a warning to the public not to approach her and to contact emergency services with any information. The incident triggered a localized search and public alert.
Authorities located and apprehended Seman under an hour after the initial escape was reported. There were no reported injuries, and no further details have been released regarding how she escaped custody at the hospital.
The Franklin County urged community members to remain vigilant during the short-lived manhunt. Seman has since been returned to custody, and officials have not yet indicated whether additional charges will be filed in connection to the escape.
