The Jonathan Hager House Museum, located at 110 Key Street within Hagerstown City Park, will commence its opening weekend with German Easter Tours at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. on both March 27 and 28. These special tours will continue on April 3 and 4. Following the opening weekend, regular tours of the historic home of the town’s founder will be available on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last tour at 3 p.m. On Sundays, tours will be offered from noon to 4 p.m., with the last tour at 3 p.m. Beginning April 10, no appointment will be necessary for these hourly tours. Standard admission rates apply and can be found on the museum’s website. Visitors should note that the Visitor Center is currently undergoing renovations.

The City Park Train Hub, situated at 770 City Park Drive, will also open for the season, providing an opportunity to experience the golden age of locomotion. Visitors can explore historic locomotive Engine 202 and a retired caboose, as well as the Railroad Museum. A special event is planned for Saturday, April 4, featuring free admission to the site, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, and an Easter egg hunt from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Train Hub will be open for its seasonal run on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. Admission fees apply for regular visits, and details are available on the City of Hagerstown’s website. The Train Hub Pavilion and Museum are also available for private event rentals, with inquiries directed to 301-739-9577, extension 170.
