A children’s toy sold exclusively on Temu.com has been recalled due to safety concerns involving high-powered magnets. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the 6-in-1 Pounding Game, manufactured by DMITOY, contains a magnet that can become loose, posing a significant ingestion hazard. Swallowing high-powered magnets can lead to severe internal injuries, including intestinal blockages, perforations, infection, and even death.

The recalled product features a wooden frame with a frog clock design, a xylophone on one side, and three colorful gears on the other. It includes wooden pegs, animal-faced pop-up components, wooden carrots and worms with metal heads, as well as two wooden mallets, sticks, and a wooden bird with an embedded magnet in its beak. The risk arises from the possibility of the magnet detaching from the bird, creating a serious ingestion danger for children.
Consumers who purchased the toy between May 2024 and July 2024 for approximately $20 are advised to stop using it immediately. To receive a full refund, purchasers should dispose of the product, take a photo of its disposal, and email the image to DMITOY at dmitoy202405@163.com or send a message through Temu.com. DMITOY is reaching out directly to all known buyers.

While no injuries or incidents have been reported, the recall aims to prevent potential harm. The product was manufactured in China and distributed exclusively online. Federal regulations prohibit the sale of recalled items, and the CPSC urges consumers to report any safety concerns with products on www.SaferProducts.gov.
