Approximately 3,500 Lterfear Multifunction Pounding Games are being recalled due to a serious risk of injury or death, as announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recalled toys violate mandatory safety standards due to the presence of high-powered magnets that can detach, posing a significant ingestion hazard for children.

The Lterfear Multifunction Pounding Game, model number D888, is a wooden toy designed to engage children with multiple activities. These include a “whack-a-mole” game, a fishing game, a xylophone, and a carrot-cutting feature. The toy also incorporates a xylophone, gears, a clock, various shapes for insertion into holes, and “moles” for pounding. It is sold with accessories such as xylophone mallets, a fishing rod, a pounding mallet, wooden fish, wooden carrots, wooden fruit, and wooden knives. Notably, the product itself lacks any identifying markings. The recalled toys were sold online at Amazon.com between June 2025 and September 2025 for prices ranging from $24 to $28. The sellers are identified as Shenzhen Haichuan International Travel Service Co., Ltd., doing business as Findriver and Weeksome.

The primary concern with these toys lies in their powerful magnets. If ingested by children, these magnets can attract each other or other metallic objects within the digestive system. This can lead to severe internal complications, including perforations, twisting, and blockages of the intestines, as well as blood poisoning. In the most severe cases, the ingestion of such magnets can be fatal. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this specific recall.

Consumers who have purchased the Lterfear Multifunction Pounding Game are urged to immediately stop using the product and contact the seller, Findriver, to arrange for a full refund. As part of the refund process, consumers are instructed to write “RECALLED” on the base of the toy using a permanent marker, then dispose of the product safely. A photograph of the disposed toy must then be sent to Findriver via email at Findriverpoundingtoysrecall@outlook.com.

This recall serves as a critical reminder for consumers to be aware of product safety. The CPSC actively works to protect the public from unreasonable risks associated with consumer products. Consumers can find additional information on product recalls and safety by visiting CPSC.gov, signing up for email alerts, or by reporting dangerous products and injuries at SaferProducts.gov. The CPSC also operates a hotline at 800-638-2772 for consumers seeking further assistance.
