The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that the company received about 329 reports of blades breaking during use and 17 reports of overheating or fires, leading to property damage claims totaling around $150,000. Additionally, there have been 49 reports of minor burns and one laceration injury associated with these blenders.
The affected blenders were sold nationwide at retailers including Costco, Walmart, and Target, as well as online at BlendJet.com, from October 2020 through November 2023, priced between $50 and $75. Consumers can identify recalled units by checking the serial number on the bottom of the blender base; those with serial numbers where the first four digits are between 5201 and 5542 are included in the recall.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled blenders and contact BlendJet for a free replacement of the base unit. To receive a replacement, consumers should remove and cut the rubber seal from the base into three or more pieces and provide a photo showing the serial number and the cut seal pieces to BlendJet via their recall website or by emailing safety@blendjet.com.
For more information and to determine if your blender is affected, visit BlendJet’s recall page or contact them directly at safety@blendjet.com.
