HAGERSTOWN, MD News (12/6/2024) – The Washington County Democratic Central Committee (WCDCC) is currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy for the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 2B in Hagerstown, Maryland. The selected individual will serve as the Democratic Party’s recommended candidate for the position.

Eligible candidates must meet specific qualifications, including being a registered Democrat, at least 21 years old, and a resident of Maryland for at least one year. Additionally, applicants must have lived in District 2B for a minimum of six months.
The responsibilities associated with the role include advocating for local industries, securing federal funding for community projects, and working on legislative initiatives. The delegate is also tasked with managing district-level affairs and collaborating with colleagues to advance political and legislative goals. The position involves preparing for re-election in 2026, which includes campaign planning and supporting related activities.
