This month, he’s moving to a new location at the Long Meadow Shopping Center in Hagerstown, and expanding his menu to include pizza, an event thirty years in the making.

We need your help to stay paywall free

We know you value local news and entertainment that is free, open, and independent. Producing high-quality, paywall-free content isn't free. It takes time, effort, and resources to keep you informed and entertained. Unlike corporate media, we don’t have deep-pocketed investors or big advertisers funding our work—we rely on you, our readers and listeners, to keep Radio Free Hub City running. We're literally running on a shoe-string budget, but keep working hard to provide as much news and entertainment as we can.

If just 5% of local area residents became paid supporters at only $5 per month, we could meet our fundraising goals and continue expanding our news coverage depth while continuing to provide free access for everyone. So, if you'd like to help us in our continuing quest to improve our coverage, please consider becoming a paying supporter.

Will you be one of the 5%?

Thirty years ago, Sarber managed a local pizza shop called “Georgie’s Pizza.” It was at that time in his life, he realized he wanted to own a pizza shop.

“It only took 30 years to do it!” exclaimed Sarber.

The 301 Taco was already locally known for its unique twist on traditional Mexican food, all with a local spin. In addition to burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, and tacos with mojito lime chicken or locally inspired flavors like Old Bay chicken, Saber’s new location now offers wings and pizza, including specialty pizzas and even a gluten free option.

Sarber sold both of his food trucks so that he could open the Long Meadow location in the former Long Meadow pizza shop. He has invested a significant amount into renovating the pizza shop, which had fallen into disrepair.

But Sarber isn’t completely finished with the food truck industry just yet. He plans to collaborate with local food truck owners he has befriended over the years of owning his own food truck, bringing them in for monthly specials.

The Radio Free Hub City crew had the pleasure of getting a sneak preview of the new offerings, and they were absolutely delicious! We’ll absolutely be returning frequently for more delicious food, and absolutely love the variety of choices available on the menu.

The official grand opening event is April 6th, 2024, and will feature live music from Kellin Little.
