The commissioners will also review a recap of the Washington County Community Coalition’s activities and consider a request for support for 2027. A significant fiscal item on the agenda is the approval to accept a grant award for security funding from the Maryland Administrative Office of the Courts, intended for the Circuit Court for Washington County. Several procurement matters are slated for discussion, including quote and bid awards for professional legal services for the Board of Zoning Appeals, IT department services, and e-Plan software. Additionally, the board will consider intergovernmental cooperative purchases for Dell computers and fiber cameras, alongside a bid rejection for manway door replacements at the Conococheague Wastewater Treatment Plant. A contract award for a Local Management Board Capacity Building Consultant is also on the agenda.
Further community engagement will be facilitated through a presentation on the Hagerstown Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program and the annual report from the Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The meeting will also feature the presentation of the 2026-2027 Farm of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding agricultural achievement. The Board will conclude its open session with a closed session to discuss real property acquisition for public purposes and to consult with legal counsel, before reconvening in open session for adjournment. The public is invited to submit comments on agenda items or other county business via email.
