Hagerstown Police Identify Suspects in Early July Homicide

The Hagerstown Police Department has identified two individuals wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026. The investigation, supported in part by the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN), has led to charges of First-Degree Murder and related offenses against the suspects. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Dalonte Dametrius Young of Hagerstown.

The incident initially came to light when Hagerstown Police officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the first block of East Antietam Street at approximately 3:30 a.m. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered an adult male who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Hagerstown Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit has been leading the ongoing homicide investigation.

The two individuals identified and sought by law enforcement are Michael Timothy Wilder, 38, and Cierra Candice Bryant, 39, both residents of Hagerstown. Both suspects have been charged with First-Degree Murder and other associated offenses.
