The campaign offers a lasting method for residents to honor past or present service members and preserve their memories. Each brick can be dedicated to one individual, and a completed order form is necessary for every purchase. The deadline for submitting orders is set for July 1, 2026. Following the installation of the new bricks, an official unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place during the Remembrance in the Park Ceremony on September 8, 2026. This event will formally introduce the newest additions to the memorial walk, further solidifying its purpose as a place of honor.
This memorial brick initiative serves as a tangible way for the community to acknowledge the commitment and sacrifices made by those in emergency service roles. Residents interested in participating can obtain an order form for brick engraving. For further details or assistance with the ordering process, individuals are encouraged to contact Washington County’s Public Relations and Marketing Department directly by phone at 240-313-2380 or via email at pr@washco-md.net. The campaign underscores the county’s commitment to recognizing the vital contributions of its emergency personnel.
