The U.S. Marshals Service is actively searching for Ashley Nicole Franklin, who is wanted in connection with a child abuse case resulting in death in Washington County, Maryland. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to her apprehension. Franklin failed to appear for her sentencing on August 13, 2025, for a conviction related to the death of her 10-month-old daughter.

According to information provided by the U.S. Marshals Service, Franklin was found guilty by a jury for events that transpired in 2021, where she abused her infant daughter, leading to the child’s death. Following her conviction, Franklin was released on a $5,000 bond and subsequently failed to appear for her sentencing hearing on August 13, 2025. A bench warrant was then issued by the Circuit Court for Washington County, Maryland. A sentencing hearing proceeded in her absence, and she was sentenced to 100 years of incarceration.
The U.S. Marshals Service has indicated that Ashley Nicole Franklin is a Black female, born on November 10, 1986, making her 39 years old. She is described as being 5 feet 07 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. A photograph of Franklin was taken on March 5, 2024. She was last seen in Hagerstown, Maryland, on August 13, 2025. Franklin has a history of fleeing to the Atlanta, Georgia, area and is also known to have ties to Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
