This Mother’s Day weekend, the IAFF Local 1605 Foundation is set to host its 20th Annual Bonanza Extravaganza in Hagerstown, Maryland, a significant fundraising event for the region. The foundation announced that this year’s event will feature over $900,000 in cash and prizes, with participants having the chance to win a variety of items, including seven Harley-Davidson motorcycles and seven Chevrolet vehicles. A total of 104 prizes will be awarded, and winners need not be present to claim their winnings. For those who attend the event in person, additional drawings are available, potentially increasing the total number of prizes awarded to as many as 332.
The Bonanza Extravaganza is the primary fundraising initiative for the IAFF Local 1605 Foundation. Each year, 10,000 tickets are sold, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere of community engagement and charitable giving. The foundation has a substantial history of supporting local fire departments and community initiatives, having contributed more than $2.3 million to these causes over the years. This year’s event aims to build upon that legacy by awarding over $900,000 in prizes while continuing to generate vital funds for its charitable work. Historically, tickets for the event sell out annually, and while a limited number are still available, those interested in participating are encouraged to secure their tickets promptly. Additional information and ticket purchases can be made through the event’s official website.
