The identified hazard stems from the potential for the legs of these chairs and barstools to bend or break during use, creating a risk of falls for consumers. The affected products were sold in a variety of colors, including blue, brown, dark gray, light gray/silver, red, white, aqua, black, green, sangria/burgundy, yellow, and orange. While the chairs were sometimes sold with outdoor tables, only the chairs and barstools themselves are included in this recall. Consumers can identify the specific item numbers for their products through order confirmation emails, shipping confirmation emails, and invoices. A comprehensive list of affected item numbers and color examples is available on the manufacturer’s recall webpage.
The recall includes products sold between April 2020 and October 2025, with prices ranging from $55 to $133. These items were available for purchase through Clark Pro and Clark National Accounts nationwide, as well as online via webstaurantstore.com, therestaurantstore.com, and quicksupply.com. The importer of record for these products is Clark Core Services LLC, operating as Clark Associates, based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The products were manufactured in China.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled chairs and barstools are strongly advised to cease using them immediately to prevent potential injuries. To initiate the recall process, consumers should contact Clark Associates directly. The company is offering a full refund to the original method of purchase or a store credit as a remedy. To complete the recall, consumers will need to register their product online at the dedicated recall website. Following registration, consumers must mark the recalled product by writing the word “Recalled” in paint or a thick permanent marker in a visible location on the item. After marking, the products should be disposed of in accordance with all applicable local and state laws.
Clark Associates has received 36 reports detailing instances where the chair or barstool legs have broken or bent. These reports have led to four reported falls and three resulting injuries.
