Frederick County residents are being alerted to an armed robbery that occurred at a PNC Bank branch in Urbana on February 4, 2026. According to information released by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a panic alarm at the bank, located at 8920 Fingerboard Road, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers confirmed that a robbery had just taken place inside the financial institution.

The investigation indicated that a suspect entered the PNC Bank and, by implying the presence of a handgun, demanded cash. Following the demand, the individual fled the scene on foot with an unspecified amount of United States currency. As of the latest information provided, the suspect has not been apprehended. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has stated that there is an increased law enforcement presence in the Urbana area while the investigation continues. Members of the public who may possess any information concerning this incident are urged to contact the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. A photograph of the suspect has been made available in connection with the ongoing investigation.
