For the upcoming fiscal year 2027, grants will be distributed across four key categories: Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. To promote equitable distribution of grant funds, each organization is limited to submitting a single application. The maximum grant award available to any one organization is $20,000. Nonprofits interested in applying must attend a mandatory information session scheduled for Friday, January 30th, at 10 a.m. This session will be conducted virtually via Zoom. Those seeking to register for the Zoom session or obtain further information are encouraged to contact UWWC via email at UWWCLiveUnited@uwwcmd.org.
The Community Impact grant funding is derived exclusively from donations. United Way emphasizes its commitment to the responsible stewardship of these funds, undertaking a comprehensive assessment of all organizations that receive grant awards. This evaluation process is designed to ensure that funded organizations meet the highest operational standards. In the previous fiscal year, FY26, sixteen high-performing nonprofits received one-year grants, with awards of up to $20,000 each. These grant awards were announced on May 23, 2025.
