The incident in question took place on December 18, 2025, on westbound U.S. Route 50 near I-97. A victim reported to state troopers that a suspect brandished a crowbar and subsequently a firearm during a dispute. Although the victim was uninjured, the use of a weapon elevated the situation, prompting troopers to assume control of the investigation. Following their inquiry, Crews was identified as the suspect. She was arrested on December 31, near her residence by Maryland State Police personnel. A subsequent search warrant executed on her vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded firearm, which was found in a backpack located on the front passenger seat.
