For quite some time now I’ve been extremely vocal about my COVID vaccine injury, how I was coerced into taking the vaccine, and how I’ll likely never see justice for my injury. And something that has been weighing heavy on my heart for some time now is that my eventual death will likely be celebrated, just like others have been in recent months, because I dare to speak out, and because they’ve already been celebrating the deaths of others who they deemed “conspiracy theorists”. For the Chair of Envision Frederick, a Frederick attorney, and likely many others who share their same views towards those who spoke out against the COVID vaccine, my death will likely be celebrated just like they celebrated the deaths of others during the COVID pandemic.

So without further a due, I write this op-ed, not to “cancel”, not to publicly shame, but to educate the dark history of celebrating others’ deaths due to political differences, and hope that this will better illustrate the mentality those of us who were injured by the vaccine face every day – people who would likely sooner celebrate our deaths than engage in reasonable conversation regarding our injuries.

Article continues after these messages…

Started in 2020, there was a Frederick group that was dedicated during the COVID pandemic to “exposing” people who not just refused to wear masks in public, but even those who simply wore masks incorrectly. The group describes itself as “We wear face masks to protect others. We expose people who refuse to wear a face mask or wear it properly to help protect us.” Not help, not educate, but expose, even if someone was accidentally wearing a mask incorrectly. Here’s one of their posts, which we have edited to remove the faces of those targeted for not wearing their masks correctly. This post was made by the group admin, a fake account which appears to have gone dormant after February 2022.

The group has been inactive since 2022, but a member was kind enough to send me some screenshots.

Now it’s time to meet Dan, a Frederick resident. While it’s not listed on his Facebook profile, Dan appears to possibly be involved in the nonprofit community in Frederick, supposedly helping the less fortunate. Sadly, as the pandemic evolved, the group evolved into a celebration of deaths of the unvaccinated, and Dan helped lead the charge in celebrating these deaths.

Here’s one of Dan’s posts, where he comments that it’s “natural selection at its finest” when a Trump supporter who shared articles about WHO covering up the origins of the virus, supporting Qanon conspiracy theories, and promoted hydroxychloroquine for COVID treatment passed away.

A screenshot with the text "it's happening more and more, yet they still won't learn... natural selection at its finest."

Dan continued to post articles like this one, to the point that other group members expressed their disgust.

But not all of the group members were upset by these posts, and some applauded them, such as this comment from Elizabeth Bauer, in which she says “good riddance” regarding a conspiracist’s death.

Bauer is the current board chair of Envision Frederick County, a “non-profit, non-partisan organization founded on the principle that informed public discourse and active engagement of individuals and groups in our civic life are essential to our mutual well-being and prosperity.” And nothing says public discourse and engagement like saying “good riddance” to someone dying because they had different political beliefs than you.

And some of the comments in these posts are absolutely vile, like Bauer celebrating “one less spreader to worry about.”

And comments on other posts, such as “Darwinism will take ’em out.” and “thinning the herd” show little compassion from the members of this group towards their fellow human beings.

But none hit me harder than this one, where Kendra Hagen Hawk comments ‘Oh well, se la vie’ in reference to a conservative news person’s death from COVID.

A screenshot of news about a person dying from Covid, and Kendra Hagen Hawk commenting "it is happening a lot. a conservative news guys just died of covid. unvaxxed. he used to announce the names of those who died of AIDs by saying another one bites the dust. Oh well, se la vie."

Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely horrible that anyone would say that about those who die of AIDS, but if we’re truly going to embrace compassion and empathy towards others, then we should mourn that they did not change their ways, not celebrate their death.

Hawk works at Hawk Law, which ironically says the following as part of their page introduction:

Compassion, empathy & fairness matter. So does common sense. The more you understand, the better for you & those around you. Think about the starfish story. Maybe you only reach one person & give them something to think about. What you say and do matters.

I do have to agree with Hawk Law, compassion, empathy & fairness matter. What you say and do matters. And unfortunately, these posts and comments show very little compassion or empathy. What Hawk says here, as well as the comments of others, tells me that they would all likely celebrate my own death because I am a (moderate) conservative news person who routinely speaks out against a vaccine which has caused me ongoing suffering and pain.

To this day, I am still called a conspiracy theorist anti-vaxxer for simply speaking the truth about my COVID vaccine injury. And unfortunately, these years of not only physical suffering but the mental toll it has taken being constantly questioned and accused of “making up” my vaccine injury, has caused other health issues as well, as well as the mental anguish of feeling like I need to constantly defend myself. I’ve even been told by former friends in the past that I shouldn’t share my vaccine injury story for the sole reason that it might discourage others from getting the vaccine. Imagine being discouraged from speaking up about something you know to be dangerous from first hand experience, so that others won’t be aware of the risks. It is quite honestly exhausting, knowing that my very existence and daring to speak up about my vaccine injury results in others shunning me or trying to silence me.

Originally I wrote this article censoring the names, but I put them back in because I think it’s important that others realize that those who said such terrible things four years ago are not only still around, but that they have since found themselves in important roles in the community. As such, I pray that Dan, Elizabeth, and Kendra have all gained more empathy and compassion since the COVID pandemic, especially given their current roles. And it is my hope that others will as well, as more and more have finally started to understand that COVID vaccine injuries are very real, and those of us injured just want to live our lives like we did before the vaccine. So please, don’t attack these people or the organizations they represent, but if you happen to know any of them personally, please let them know the following statement.

To Dan, Elizabeth, and Kendra who made these terrible comments during the COVID pandemic, please know that I do forgive you, and I pray for you that you will find inner peace with whatever struggles led you to celebrate the deaths of others. I know that a lot of these comments were fueled by the misinformation regarding vaccine safety and effectiveness being spread by the government and news media at the time, and I hope that you will eventually see through the lies to understand that vaccine injuries are real, and those of us who are suffering have no motivation to “make up” our vaccine injuries. We are real, and we face real, continuing struggles. If you haven’t already, I’d like to invite you to read the personal struggles of thousands of people who have talked with React19, and read their firsthand accounts of what the COVID vaccine did to them. And if any of you would like to talk to me about how you’ve improved as a person since the pandemic, please feel free to email me.

For all of you who have accused myself or others of being conspiracy theorists, or that we are making up our vaccine injuries, I might be willing to forgive, but I’m not going to forget, so do not mistake my forgiveness for not wanting justice. I might have memory loss due to the COVID vaccine, but I do still have the receipts.
