Deputies were dispatched to the location at approximately 8:13 p.m. in response to a report of suspicious individuals. Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals, clad in dark clothing, gloves, and face coverings, concealed near the front entrance of a residence. The suspects fled on foot into a wooded area behind the property as deputies approached. A subsequent search of the area by deputies, aided by a nearby resident who reported the individuals traversing their property and causing damage, led to the swift apprehension of both suspects. Additional support was provided by drone units and Trooper 3.
Both Gentry and Cooper, who were found to have no lawful reason to be on the property, are alleged to have fled from law enforcement.
