The alarm was raised shortly before 1:40 a.m. when the Singerly Fire Company and neighboring fire departments were dispatched to the scene at 285 Plum Point Road, located on the Triton Marina property. First responders from Maryland State Police observed extensive fire engulfing the rear section of the two-story waterfront establishment upon their arrival. It took a coordinated effort from approximately 40 firefighters from multiple departments nearly two hours to gain control of the fire. The intensity of the blaze, exacerbated by high winds, led to the rapid spread throughout the building and the eventual collapse of the roof and interior floors. Firefighters utilized heavy equipment to assist in clearing debris, and the restaurant has been declared a total loss.
Investigators have reviewed video surveillance footage, which indicates the fire began around 1:10 a.m. The footage also shows that no vehicles or individuals were present on the property at the time the fire started. Evidence suggests the fire originated near the rear of the restaurant, including the rear deck patio. While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials have stated there is no indication of criminal activity, and all potential accidental causes are being explored. Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is encouraged to contact the Northeast Regional Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-386-3050.
