The court proceedings led to a guilty disposition for the charge of “Embezzle Misappropriate.” The offense dates for the embezzlement are noted as occurring between April 12, 2022, and an unspecified later date. Following the guilty plea and disposition, Judge Joseph Michael sentenced Reed. Her sentence includes a period of incarceration, with a jail term of five years. However, all of the sentence except one year and one day is to be suspended. Additionally, Reed has been placed on supervised probation for five years.
The restitution amount of $30,080.19 was officially entered on September 22, 2025, and is owed to the Hagerstown Area Police Athletic League. This judgment was ordered and entered on September 22, 2025, and its expiration is to be determined by case law or statute.
Reed, who resides in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, was represented by the Public Defender’s office in Washington County, with attorneys Meghana Vodela and Timothy Thomas Conlon also appearing on her behalf at various stages of the legal process. The State of Maryland was represented by Assistant State’s Attorney Amy Alexzandra Taylor and the State’s Attorney’s Office for Washington County.
The conviction and subsequent order for restitution mean that Kimberly Jayne Reed is legally obligated to repay the full amount of $30,080.19 to the Hagerstown Area Police Athletic League. The terms of her probation also require supervised adherence to court orders for the next five years.
