While the parks will remain accessible to the public, most restroom facilities will be closed across all locations. The only exception will be at Marty Snook Park, where restrooms will continue to be available near the tennis courts at the Guard Shack, and at Pavilion 2, which is adjacent to the Rainbow Playground, as well as Pavilion 4, located near Bower Avenue and serving the Dog Park area. Furthermore, water service at the Central Bark Dog Park is scheduled to be discontinued after Friday, October 31, 2025.
During the off-season, the reservation of pavilions will not be possible. However, the department is now accepting pavilion rental requests for the upcoming 2026 season. All Washington County parks are slated to resume their regular operating hours and full amenity access on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Individuals who may have misplaced personal items while visiting any of the county parks are advised to contact the Parks and Recreation department. Inquiries can be directed to 240-313-2700 or via email at parkssupport@washco-md.net. It is important to note that any unclaimed items will be disposed of on December 1, 2025. For additional information, residents can reach out to Washington County Parks & Recreation at parkssupport@washco-md.net or by calling 240-313-2700.
