The DPED offices at 14 N. Potomac Street, Suite 200A, and the Planning offices located on the third floor of City Hall at 1 E. Franklin Street, will be inaccessible to the public on October 17 and October 20. This temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the physical move to the department’s new premises. It is important to note that this closure does not extend to the Department of Housing and Community Development, which also operates out of 14 N. Potomac Street, Suite 200A, nor does it affect the Engineering and Permits office, which is situated on the third floor of City Hall.
For residents or businesses requiring immediate assistance with planning or economic development matters that cannot be postponed until the department reopens, direct contact will be maintained. Planning-related inquiries can be directed to Mary Revilla via cell at 240-500-4925 or by email at Planning@hagerstownmd.org. For economic development questions, Yanique Myers can be reached at cell number 240-382-0739 or through email at DPED@hagerstownmd.org. These contact points will be actively monitored throughout the transition period to address any time-sensitive issues that may arise.
The Department of Planning & Economic Development is scheduled to reopen and resume public services on Tuesday, October 21, at 8:00 AM. The new office location for the DPED will be at 32 N. Potomac Street, on the second floor. The city has expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and patience during this period of relocation.
