The grant program is specifically designed for agricultural businesses within Washington County, offering financial support for a range of projects. Farmers and business owners can apply for individual grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 from the overall $100,000 funding pool. The application period commenced on October 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. EST and will conclude on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. EST.
Eligible projects encompass a broad spectrum of agricultural development and improvement. This includes initiatives such as business planning and marketing expansion, the development of value-added ventures, and improvements related to conservation and research. Applicants can also seek funding for upgrading agricultural buildings and structures, as well as for the purchase of new equipment or major fixtures. The grant application process will consider established evaluation metrics, with applications being processed and prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
