The event will take place from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 111 East Airport Drive, Frederick, MD 21701. Residents are encouraged to bring items that can be given a new life by local charitable organizations. Accepted items include furniture, appliances, bicycles, large toys, and swing sets. Mattresses and box springs are accepted with a limit of three per household. Lawn equipment, such as mowers and trimmers, can be brought if all fluids have been removed. Grills are also accepted, but propane tanks will not be. All items brought to the event must be less than seven feet in length, and bags of general trash will not be accepted.
In addition to these accepted items, several local charitable organizations will be on-site to collect specific goods. These include clothing, shoes, purses, and belts, as well as books, CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes. Electronics and computer equipment, including televisions, will also be accepted for donation. Residents can also bring plastics for collection. For those with sensitive personal documents, a document shredding service will be available on-site to ensure secure disposal.
Participation in the Fall Freecycle Roundup is limited to residents of the City of Frederick, and proof of residency will be required at the time of drop-off. For further information regarding the event, residents can contact the City by calling 301-600-1377 or 301-600-1178.
